Keymark Construction Celebrates Groundbreaking at Brazil Company

Brazil, Ind. – A Brazil, Ind. based company is expanding – with a little help from Keymark Construction.

On Thursday, November 2, Metals and Additives LLC hosted a groundbreaking ceremony outside their expansion site, 10665 N SR 59 Brazil,IN 47834.

The Hometown Savings Bank is working to help provide funding for the project.

Selected as the construction company on the project, Keymark Construction President Jacob Hellmann applauded the company and its growth.

“As a small business ourselves, we love to work with other small businesses who are doing great things and achieving success in their industry,” he says. “Metals and Additives has been in business for a long time and to see where they are going, taking their business to the next level, it’s inspiring to us at Keymark.”

For more than 50 years Metals and Additives has operated in Brazil, with four subsidiaries, Polymer Additives Group, Addenda LLC, Reedy Chemical Foam, and Omni Oxide. Originally the company started as a metals processing plant, but overtime has re-focused on manufacturing, sustainability and safety.

That change is thanks to the company’s acquisition of Polymer Additives Group (PAG) in 2006. The company added plastic products to its offerings. Metals and Additives now makes high quality flame retardants and smoke suppressants for the plastic industry.

The most recent addition is Reedy Chemical Foam. The company uses a foaming agent, which reduces plastic manufacturers usage by up to 30%.

Metals and Additives currently employs 50 people in the Wabash Valley. They also take pride in the Brazil and Clay County community. Among their outreach is support of the Brazil Youth Football League. The company rents the program’s field to the league for just $1 a year.

“We have put an emphasis on becoming a company that our community can be proud of,” explains Taylor Greven, Inside Sales & Marketing for Metals and Additives LLC. “This expansion allows us to have a little more room and bring more people to the community.”

Metals and Additives is always looking for talented employees. For more information call, (812)  446-2525.
