Liberty Avenue Neighborhood Groundbreaking Marks Start of 30 New Homes

Today, Keymark Construction joined Thrive West Central, the City of Terre Haute, Strat Stacker, and community partners at 1511 Chestnut Street to celebrate the groundbreaking for a new housing investment in Terre Haute’s Liberty Avenue neighborhood.

Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun, Thrive West Central CEO Ryan Keller, and Keymark Construction President Jacob Hellmann shared remarks about the project and the investment being made in the neighborhood.

The project will bring 30 new single-family homes to city lots throughout the Liberty Avenue neighborhood as part of Thrive West Central’s Homes for the Future Program. Through infill development, new homes will be added within the existing neighborhood, creating new housing opportunities while contributing to the strength and character of established blocks.

Development will be phased over approximately 16 to 20 months. Many of the homes will feature comfortable floor plans, attached garages with rear-load access, modern amenities, and designs intended to complement the surrounding community.

For Keymark, projects like this are a tangible example of our vision to build spaces and relationships that strengthen communities and stand the test of time. The impact of these homes will extend well beyond the construction period. They will become part of the neighborhood and, more importantly, part of the everyday lives of the people who eventually call them home.
