From Construction Site to Community Resource: Hemminghouse Homes Is Complete

Keymark Construction joined project partners, community leaders, and supporters to celebrate the completion of Hemminghouse Homes, a new permanent supportive housing development on Terre Haute’s north side.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of the development and the beginning of its next chapter as a lasting community resource. Attendees gathered at the site at North 14th and Chase Streets to tour the completed homes, hear from project partners, and recognize the organizations and individuals who helped make the project possible.

Hemminghouse Homes includes four duplex buildings with eight one-bedroom apartments designed to provide stable, permanent housing for individuals who have faced significant barriers to securing and maintaining housing. The project was supported by $2.2 million in funding from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and is located at 619 and 621 North 14th Street.

The development was led by Mental Health America of West Central Indiana in partnership with ALK Development, with Keymark Construction serving as the general contractor. The project brought together organizations with different areas of expertise and a shared commitment to creating housing that will serve the community for years to come.
