Keymark Construction Participates in Groundbreaking for River Valley Apartments

Terre Haute, Ind. – Keymark Construction is proud to announce its participation in the groundbreaking of the River Valley Apartments, a new housing development under the Homes for the Future Program, spearheaded by Thrive West Central.

Today, Thrive West Central hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at 1325 N. 4th St., just north of downtown Terre Haute near Union Hospital. This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to address housing needs in the region.

The Homes for the Future Program is a pilot initiative designed to incentivize homebuilders and developers to create new, accessible homes. The River Valley Apartments project will consist of four housing units, providing a total of 40 apartments. These apartments are specifically designed for low-income, rent-restricted renters, with 15% of the units ADA compliant to support those aging in place.

Each apartment will feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a walk-in pantry, laundry room, individual garages, and porches. Additionally, the development includes a community building equipped with a computer station, gym, laundry room, management offices, and onsite storage.

Keymark Construction was selected as the construction partner on the project. Jacob Hellmann, President of Keymark Construction, applauded the initiative and its impact on the community. “As a local contractor working alongside our dedicated team of local subcontractors, we are thrilled to mark the groundbreaking of the River Valley Apartments. This development will not only provide quality housing but also contribute to the ongoing revitalization of Terre Haute.”

Keymark Construction continues to demonstrate its dedication to community development and excellence in construction. The River Valley Apartments is expected to be a beacon of hope for many, providing much-needed housing solutions in the region.
