Terre Haute’s growing east side will soon be home to a new Union Health clinic aimed at meeting residents’ and travelers’ health care needs.
Union Health broke ground Friday for the new, $2.5 million east side clinic that will be located on Indiana 46/US 40 in the Sycamore Terrace shopping center.
Slated to open in early 2020, the one-story, 14,000 square-foot facility will offer family practice; urgent and convenient care that doesn’t require an appointment; imaging/X-ray services and a dermatology practice.
The goal of the Union Medical Group Eastside Clinic is to improve access to care for patients, officials said.
“We want to provide care close to home,” said Steve Holman, Union Health chief executive officer. “The east side is a growing area for the Wabash Valley … we want to be here to provide those services.”
The clinic also will be available to those traveling on I-70 as well as residents of surrounding counties.
The building, to be located west of Sonic Drive-In, will face west. The architect is Holder Design and the construction firm is Keymark Development.
